Brady Carlberg, who started his career with REM at an intermediate care facility, came to the REM Heartland program in 2016. The program is one of only three of its kind in the state and can serve no more than three individuals at a time due to the children’s challenges.
Andi Brooks has been an advocate for the people she serves since she first entered the field of human services after moving from East Texas 15 years ago. She joined REM Iowa as a direct support professional in 2004, and has continued her person-centered approach to care as a program coordinator and now program director.
Bill Painter, senior director of clinical practice within The MENTOR Network’s Child and Family Services Center of Excellence, is a role model for those working to help children and families. Throughout his 35-year career, Bill has become known as a pioneer in the field of family preservation services.
