In May, three South Carolina MENTOR foster parents were featured in the Aiken Standard for their years of service to children in need.
Bill and Dianne Granade
Foster parents for more than two decades, the Granades have fostered more than 30 children over the years.
“You want them all to be success stories. It’s so important that we invest in these children and do the best we can. You learn to bring them in, love them and let them go,” Bill told the Aiken Standard. Read their story
After raising her own family, Mrs. Ross turned to foster parenting as a way to help others.
“We’re a team – the agencies, the schools, the counselors, the doctors and myself – to support this child. You have to tell the child that we’re all working together, part of the same family, and we all love you and want you to do well,” she told the Aiken Standard. Read her story
