The MENTOR Network

DSP of the Week

At The MENTOR Network, we believe that our Direct Support Professionals—who help carry out The Network’s mission every day—should be valued, supported and recognized for a job well done. That’s why we’re honoring our direct support workforce and the tremendous difference they make each day in the lives of thousands of individuals we serve.

Each week, we’re recognizing one of our remarkable DSPs. Please take a moment to meet these talented individuals and remember to thank them for their commitment to the individuals we serve.

If you would like to nominate someone for DSP of the Week, please visit our nomination page.

“I choose to work in a direct support role because I truly care about the people we serve. I enjoy helping them grow, learn and ultimately have a better quality of life. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, it has been challenging to do some of our usual activities, but with social distancing regulations in mind we use our creativity, play games and get outside to refresh ourselves and experience different sceneries.”

“What I enjoy most about working in a direct support role is helping the individuals we support achieve their goals. The feeling of making a difference by improving the quality of their lives is so rewarding. Out in the community, we especially enjoy going to the park to play basketball or just talk. ”
