REM West Virginia, a partner of The MENTOR Network, celebrated their 25th anniversary this September at Oglebay Park in Wheeling, WV. The milestone was commemorated by honoring employees who had been part of the team for more than 20 years. The employees represented a range of key roles on REM West Virginia’s team, including direct support professionals, therapeutic consultants, program directors, and nurses. In addition to being recognized by colleagues, honorees also received floral arrangements created for them by the very people they have dedicated their careers to serving.
For more than two decades, the REM West Virginia team has been providing innovative, quality services to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities thrive in the communities they call home. Jane Ketcham, Executive Director, attributes this achievement to a shared commitment to serving others.
“Our mission has always been clear,” said Ketcham. “The thing that’s made our team strong for 25 years and that will continue to keep us strong in the future is that we all share in our commitment of improving the lives of people with disabilities. We are honored to serve.”
During the celebration, employees recalled their first days with REM West Virginia and spoke of the individuals they have served from the beginning – some of whom they continue to support today. The MENTOR Network’s Bruce Nardella, President and COO, and Dave Petersen, Operating Group President, joined Ketcham in congratulating the team on their hard work and dedication.
“Over the last 25 years, REM West Virginia has proven to be a trusted provider of community-based services in the state,” said Ketcham. “We have so much to be proud of over our long history, and we are excited about what is to come in the future.”
