D&S Community Services Welcomes Kentucky Governor at Event Celebrating Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

Our D&S Community Services team members in Kentucky were honored to welcome Governor Andy Beshear to their virtual event celebrating Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. At the event, the Governor signed a proclamation declaring March 2021 as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

“On team Kentucky, we all count. We all matter,” Governor Beshear said.

The Governor talked about the importance of community-based services saying, “When you lift up the entire community, you lift up the entire state.”

Thank you to the Governor, Senior Advisor Rocky Adkins, Mayor Laura White-Brown, and Rowan County Judge-Executive Harry Clark for attending and for your support of individuals of all abilities.
