The MENTOR Network is pleased to announce that it has expanded its Adult Day Health services in the state of Maryland with the addition of Rainbow Adult Day Health. Rainbow ADH operates six centers in Baltimore, Howard and Montgomery counties, including the greater Baltimore area, and provides personalized day services to elders including medication management and nutritional and nursing support.
“The MENTOR Network is excited to welcome staff and individuals served of Rainbow Adult Day Health,” said Michael Hofmeister, Senior Vice President of Operations, Adult Day Health, for The MENTOR Network. “Over the years Rainbow has improved quality of life for many elders in need of daily medical support and helped them to live richer, fuller lives. We look forward to working together to provide innovative, personalized services that help elders live more fully and independently in their communities.”
Rainbow ADH provides participants with structured day services, offering opportunities for making friends, independent living skill-building and personal enrichment activities. Staff provide a mix of supports tailored to each participant’s unique needs, including nursing care, transportation, dietary assistance and case management. These innovative, community-based programs help elders avoid more restrictive care settings such as nursing facilities so they can continue living at home and be active in the community.
The addition of Rainbow ADH brings the total number of Adult Day Health centers in Maryland to eleven. The MENTOR Network also operates Adult Day Health centers in Massachusetts. The centers operate as community-based cultural centers, staffed by multilingual employees in programs designed around the needs of elders from many cultures, including Cape Verdean, Haitian, Russian, Puerto Rican, Korean, Chinese and Cambodian.
