March is National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, a time to reflect on the progress made toward improving quality of life for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
This year, The Network is celebrating Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month by continuing to be active in our communities, honoring the caring staff and Host Home providers who support those we serve, and raising awareness about the needs of individuals with disabilities.
“Each day, The MENTOR Network and its partners help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve their goals and participate fully in neighborhood life. And while much progress has been made to make our communities more inclusive and accepting of people with disabilities, there is still much work to be done,” said Dave Petersen, Community Support Services Operating Group President. “Thanks to all who have worked tirelessly advocating for improved access to services and equal opportunities for those we serve.”
