Dan Place Vice President, Field Human Resources, Community Support Services Operating Group
As vice president of field human resources for the Community Support Services (CSS) Operating Group, Dan oversees all human resource-related issues for the operating group. He provides strategic direction for human resource needs, develops integrated solutions to help streamline processes and procedures for efficiency, and employs a comprehensive talent management strategy that attracts, engages and retains talented employees.
With an extensive background in human resources, Dan joined The MENTOR Network in 2011 and served as director of human resources for the Redwood West division. Throughout his career, Dan has held numerous leadership positions in human resources and operations at J.C. Penney and BP America-ARCO. Dan has a B.S. in business administration, management and human resources from Cal Poly Pomona and also holds certifications as a Sr. Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and Certified Labor Relations Professional (CLRP). He has also been a foster parent to 10 children.
